Thornbury Tithe Barn — Garden Room

The barn has stood on this site since the 1470s and still carries its original cruck frame. The main hall seats 140 for a formal dinner and clears to a 200-capacity standing room once the trestles come out.

A separate stone byre off the courtyard works well as a ceremony room for smaller parties, or as a quiet space for suppliers to set up out of sight.

The walled orchard behind the barn takes a marquee up to 12 metres wide. We ask that marquee suppliers visit before the day because the ground slopes gently towards the eastern wall.

Catering is open — you may bring any caterer you like, provided they hold public liability cover. The bar is ours and must be run by our team.

This secondary room seats up to 60 and is booked separately from the main space.
